Agencia AJN.- The president of the AMIA, Agustín Zbar, affirmed today to the AJN Agency that “deny the historical truth about 3000 years of Jerusalem as capital of the Hebrew Nation is objectively unacceptable”, before the announcement that the president of the United States, Donald Trump, will recognize the city as the Israeli capital today.

Zbar highlight that “some repeat slogans because of ignorance or ideology, others because they express a modern anti-Semitism disguised as progressivism”, in reference to those who reject the modification of the status quo of Jerusalem.

“Everyone should have the opportunity to learn and think again: only the truth helps the peace process”, Zbar said about those who believe that the US measure could increase tensions in the Middle East.

Finally, he said that “in terms of political opinions, you do not need to want Trump to recognize the justice of this decision”.

According to sources of the White House, Trump announced today his recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, although it will delay the move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for “logistical reasons.”

Argentine jewish community accused a congressman for anti-Semitic statements where he linked Israel with vulture funds

Agencia AJN.- The Congressman suggested that Israel and “the local members of this group” carried out a “marketing” operation so that Nisman’s death would be classified as murder. ” Congressman Moreau: reading The Merchant of Venice again? There is no greater display of anti-Semitism than linking vulture funds to Israel and the DAIA,” replied the political arm of Argentina’s Jewish community.

Agencia AJN.- The Delegation of Argentine Jewish Associations (DAIA) replied the statements made by the national representative for Frente de Todos Leopoldo Moreau by claiming that “there is no greater sign of anti-Semitism” than to link the vulture funds with Israel and the Argentine Jewish community.

The controversy started after the national legislator expressed that the qualification of “murder” for the death of federal prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who was investigating the AMIA bombing, was “one of the best conceived marketing operations at a global level”. “It was pushed by the State of Israel, the American right wing, the vulture funds and the local members of that club,” Moreau added in the message he sent through his Twitter account last Friday.

“Deputy Moreau: again reading The Merchant of Venice? There is no greater display of anti-Semitism than to link the vulture funds to Israel and the DAIA,” replied the political representation of the Argentine Jewish community also through social networks.

DAIA also said that “his statements are not an example for Argentina, whose goal is a healthy coexistence”.

The controversy emerged after federal prosecutor Eduardo Taiano, who is responsible for the investigation of Nisman’s case, discarded the possibility of a new expert opinion on the death of AMIA prosecutor and validated the report made by Gendarmerie, which was questioned by different sectors.

“Taiano says about the story of Nisman’s murder: ‘We have no plan to repeat the examination’. That is not what it is about, Prosecutor. What will be proved is that the expert opinion was made up. Tell your friends Romero Victorica and Ercolini”, said Moreau.
